9/11 Democrats

From LeanWrite:

Iraq and Afghanistan were a triumph for human rights.
You can criticize the strategy used in attacking and securing Iraq (although I think you'd be incorrect) or, to a lesser extent Afghanistan. But in neither case can you truly say that one end result was anything other than a spectacular victory for what is supposed to be a central plank in a Democratic foreign policy...human rights. Iraqis aren't disappearing anymore...tongues aren't being cut out, children not massacred in front of their parents. We removed two brutal, repressive regimes. No matter what else we've done, we've - beyond debate - done that. In your heart, you know they wouldn't have fallen without US force, and the world's better off because they're gone. If for no other reason, you can be proud that women are playing a great role in their lives in those nations....in the case of Iraq, possibly a bigger role in the government than we have here in the US.
