Republican Chicks Rock

Move over MTV: The U Network is coming to college campuses this fall, boasting what it calls a more intelligent, "clean" alternative for today’s young people.

"They’ve dumbed [programming] down — I don’t know why,” said TUN creator Shane Walker, 38, referring to MTV. “But we’re going to change it."

No word on what kind of focus group testing they did on the name. "I want my, I want my, I want my TUN" just doesn't ring the same.

Republican chicks rock. But you are right, it just does not ring the same.

Sounds like a good idea. One example of MTV's liberal bias: In 1992, they "rocked the vote" with big parties for Clinton's inauguration. When George W. Bush won in 2000, there were no MTV party celebrating his victory. Seems there was nothing to celebrate in MTV's opinion...?
