I have updated to Movable Type 3.1 and have added the Blacklist plugin. Now we hope that all the spammers will disappear somewhere into Candyland or "File Not Found" or somehwere else, leaving me with more joy and satisfaction in maintaining my internet existence.
UPDATE: the MT Blacklist plugin is working wonderfully, and is making MT usable again. The plugin is highly recommened. I do not, however, have the future posting feature working yet. I set a time for an automatic post, wait the appropriate time, then a little more, and nothing. Hmmmmm . . . 3.1 does have some slick features, and is worth it without the future posting. However, I do want the future posting to work. Madness!
