The more I learn, the easier it seems to "live off the grid". Not live off the electrical grid (yuck), but live off the books, without a trace, or without any government tracking.
Identity fraud is much easier if you are impersonating a false person, rather than a real one.
Further, the longer I manage a business, the easier it becomes to potentially launder monies.
I dreamed today of traveling abroad, living off laundered money, and without the bother of Big Brother, the Nanny State, or even Uncle Sam. Unfortunately, the hassle would be enormous, the social consequences would be significant (but not unconquerable), and the consequences of getting caught would be severe.
Madness! The deterrent is consequences, not means. However, if the need arose, I am closer to a plan to disappear. Close does not mean I could be successful; not yet anyway.
