Captain America
An American hero in Iraq was sweeping a building Christmas Eve '03, when he ran around a corner and was nose to nose with a terrorist. The terrorist shot him point-blank in the face with a 9mm, but that didn't even slow him down, and the terrorist surrendered quickly in fear.
He only lost a tooth, in a bizarre injury that absorbed the bullet. Full story.
