Newly re-discovered Gnostic text says that Jesus asked Judas to betray him.

I found it funny. It's a gnostic text: never intended to be history as we think of history.

Follow the links to some very interesting commentary on the Gospel of Judas by a modern Gnostic, too (who concludes that any devout Christian whose faith is threatened by this wasn't that devout to begin with).
